(sob sob) your son hurt me!! (sob, sob)" Me: "Um, the baby is not my son, and he's a baby. You are four! I don't think he hurt you!" (After a short time out) Me: "DCK, what happened?" DCK: "*Z* hurt me with the thing!" Me: (totally trying not to laugh) DCK, *Z* hurt you? I thought you were talking about the baby because you said "son". A son is a boy. Is *Z* a boy?" DCK: "I think so..." ...oh dear...
