If You Give a Sara a Thought...

Update: This post is all Erica's fault. She made the reference to "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". After she said it, I had to write the post.

If you give Sara a thought about her high school psychology class, she's going to remember that the teacher was also her US History teacher.

When she thinks about her history class, she's going to pause for a moment and try to remember if it really was a history class and not a geography one.

When she remembers it was not geography, she's going to remember she took geography in middle school.

When she thinks about her 8th grade geography class, she'll think about how the teacher would play tapes by a motivational speaker on Friday.

When she remembers the tapes, she'll think of a video that he showed during a section about the South.

When she thinks about the video, she'll remember it was the story about a boy killed during the civil rights movement.

And when she thinks of the boy, she'll remember his name, which she had tried to do yesterday but kept drawing a blank.

After she remembers the name, she's going to reach the end of the her thought process and a need a new thought to think.

When you give her a thought to think, she's going to remember a bunch of thoughts only slightly related to each other.

And this my friends, is why my life is really nothing more than a never ending "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" book.
